We had to make the difficult decision in March to temporarily close the studio due to COVID & postpone all bookings. I have been keeping a close eye on government guidelines to ensure that I will be fully prepared for the reopening of the studio in the safest way, when it is possible.
As lockdown measures now begin to ease & we move through the ‘recovery stages’, we now have clarity on when we are able to open our studio doors again! I really want to thank all of you who have been so patiently waiting for this time & persevered through all the uncertainty with me!
According to current guidelines, photography studios are now able to open from the 15th June. I will start off these first couple weeks with the more ‘low contact’ sessions (maternity, milestone & family sessions) & will begin with newborns in the first week of July.
Your safety has & will always be my priority. To give you peace of mind while you are in the studio, I will be implementing a few extra precautions:
While I have always washed my hands before & during a shoot, I will now be ensuring that I wash & sanitise my hands at more regular intervals through a shoot. I ask that my clients do the same.
We will be wearing masks during all sessions.
We will be measuring our temperature (as well as those in our household) before each shoot with a digital, infrared thermometer.
There will be an air purifier with a HEPA filtration system running in the studio which will contribute toward a clean, germ-free environment.
All fabrics & clothing used during a shoot are washed (at high temperatures where possible) with an eco-friendly, hypoallergenic detergent that is dermatologically approved for sensitive skin.
All surfaces in the studio will be thoroughly cleaned, which will also include the surfaces, door handles, etc being disinfected with a sanitiser between each session.
There will now only be 1 shoot per day to allow time for extra sanitsing.
Please bring only immediate family members involved in the images to the studio. Until further notice, I am requesting that no grandparents or people outside of your household attend your shoot. (I will adjust this in line with government guidelines as soon as I can)
We will reschedule your shoot if:
Further to the above, as usual, I ask that if anyone in your household has not been well in any way up to 3 days (72 hrs) prior to your shoot, that you please let me know & we will reschedule your shoot if necessary. (I will also be following the above guidelines for myself & my family)
If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to give me a call. Your peace of mind is very important to me.
Looking forward to seeing you soon, Nicky
