Frequently Asked Questions

All of our packages include both the printed and digital copies of the photographs you have chosen, including a selection of black and white conversions. As we are passionate about the benefits of photographs being displayed in your home, we produce your first set of printed images for you using the highest quality printers & products. There is much evidence about the role of displayed photographs in our homes:

  • “Displaying photographs prominently in the home sends the message that our family & those in it are important to one another.” ~ Cathy Lander-Goldberg
  • Dr David Kraus commenting on a child’s self-esteem, says “placing a family photo somewhere in the home where a child can see it everyday without having to turn on a device…(provides a) sense of reassurance & comfort…a certainty about their place in the family…that they are loved & cared for.”

We also enable you to produce your own re-prints by supplying you with the high resolution digital images.

The best time to take your maternity images is when you are between 32 & 36 weeks – this is when you feel good & have a nice round bump, but before the downward venture begins! Some women who carry small, may choose to wait until they are 36 to 38 weeks. Women who are growing a bit more rapidly, may choose to come around 28 to 32 weeks. It is best to book your session at least 4 weeks in advance.

The best time to book your Newborn Session is during your pregnancy, as soon as you know your due date. The ideal time to photograph your baby is between 7 & 14 days. The reason for this is that after the first couple of weeks, babies tend to have longer awake times & become more alert which makes it difficult to capture those classic sleepy poses. I will make a tentative booking based on your expected due date and on the arrival of your baby we will finalise the day and time for your session. Newborn sessions can take anywhere from 3-4 hours, allowing enough time for feeding and comforting. We have comfortable seating where you are welcome to put your feet up, have a coffee, or catch up on your sleep while we create beautiful memories for you.
